Today, I purchased a EDGE modem as I was not satisfied with the speed of the ordinary mobile phone. Thanks to Swapon vy for contributing to me.

After coming home, I faced some trouble installing & configuring it. After one hour of trying, I could set it up. Speed not bad, have to test yet some days.

The brand is Anik. I purchased it from Anik showroom at Eastern Plaza. It took 11,500 with 1 year warranty.

Let see how it serves me.

From my college life I was little bit interested about journalism. But it was at a tolerable level. At university, on some courses I introduced & intimated with Ujjal vy. Seeing him, my old passion of journalism geared up. I decided to do that anyhow and even at least for six months to taste it. But the result is completely unexpected to me.

Wordpress Ella was launched with great luck but my first posting in it is a story of badluck.

From few days I was preparing to go Cox’s bazar and St. Martin’s Island. Finally, we (me & swapon vy) came to dhaka to go there. But unfortunately, my fate did not allow me to proceed. I may back to Rajshahi tomorrow.

Google Apps for Your Domain (GAYD)

Google introduced a fantastic service for the website owners. From now nobody will have to worry about the space for his/her mail accounts and have not to buy huge space for many email accounts.

Using GAYD any domain owner can host their mail servers with google for free of cost (during beta period).

 Anyway, configuring the domain for this service is not easy for newbie but not too hard who is familiar with these services.

On 4 January, my aunt, cousins and I was coming from my home village to dhaka. I need to go back to Rajshahi soon and they came to dhaka to receive my uncle who would return from Hajj (Pilgrims) on 5 January at 4pm. On 5th January, after 11.00pm my friend and I reached to Airport Rail Station for going to Rajshahi on Padma Express Train. While waiting for train during 11.40PM zahir vy called me and informed me the news that our aunt died (due to heart-attack) few mins ago. I could not believe my ears.

Managing a remote web server is never an easy game. I know many people who are not familiar with non-windows operating systems hence don’t wanna buy dedicated server as it takes much time to learn and managing server is bogey job for many. But now I believe the book titled “Web Host Manager” by Aric Pedersen should be the greatest gift of 2007 (as I reviewed it this year).

The last week of 2006 was not enjoyable for me in many ways. I faced some problem with my organization. IÂ hurt for Saddam’s execution on the day of Eid Ul Azha. Some problem in our own family & some unwanted experience in my personal life.
