Domain Price Hike….An upcoming barrier

The domain price hike is on effect from coming 15th of October. The registrar VeriSign increased the price showing some so called reasons of infrastructural development.

They were already taking huge money per domain. So why they did not upgrade their system since 2000?
This hike in price will hamper the growth significantly specially in developing countries like us. As the prices are going to increase more than 45 cents at the customer end, the small customers may lose interest to register domains.

Thumbs down VeriSign.

I am working on PunBB for a bit long time. The whole work I have yet done only for Projanmo Forum. Many people asked me for the Bangla Language Pack of PunBB. Though most of the things were already done in our server (as it is managed), these articles helped me very much for improving my knowledgbase. Specially the Public Key Authentication is very important.

Never waste your time with http://infinitetech.in/

Few days ago, we have purchased a VPS from http://infinitetech.in/. After the order for about 24 hours we did not get any mail from them. Later, they mailed us that server is ready. The setup time of VPS should not take so much time. After having the VPS, we tried to configure it. But frequently getting many error message like “fork: can’t allocate memory” etc.

When we contacted to him (Mr. Rao) he said, this Data Center is not good. I asked him “then why you hosted us here?”. He replied “its a round robin, but we can move you to another data center”.
