Do you get the following error message when you try to visit a site/your site?
Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

You may see this message when you try to visit a folder in your domain like http://xenexbd.com/hello/. Most of the time, I have found this error for subdomains like http://hello.xenexbd.com. Most probably this is very common in a cPanel server. You may get this error after your install/uninstall FrontPage Extension in the main domain. I was repeatedly facing this problem. I usually solved it by installing/uninstalling/reinstalling the FrontPage extension on that subdomain. Continue reading →

Should I be astnoshied?

I was not aware of the issue that the verdict of sensational case of Dr. Sheikh Taher Ahmed murder was scheduled on 22nd May, 2008. Last night while passing the TV room in my Hall (Shahid Shohrawardi Hall), I thought to see the news (as it was going then). After a while the news presenter presented, most probably with some pain, that the verdict has sentenced four to death and surprisingly acquitting the former RU Islami Chhatra Shibir president Mahbubul Alam Salehi, a suspected mastermind of the killing.

Its really a surprising news that this mastermind was found not to be guilty! Really a strange case! I am confused about some factors! As the decision of court can’t be criticized, then my question goes to the media! Why the media was so bubbled about Salehi? Is this for he is a member of Chhatra Shibir? If he was not guilty or accused, then why the media broadcasted so highly about his involvement in the murder case. Is not it proved that the media was overwhelming about him? I request media to show sensible and discovery reaction about any matter. Otherwise they will loose public belief. Continue reading →

Two Pitfalls of Windows Hibernation

Recently I am have been facing two common problems by using Windows Hibernation feature. When Windows XP came to the market, I was excited to see this feature. It was really helpful for me. But now a days, I have to use it more frequently than ever.

First pitfall:
I am working with so many (5-10 programs) at a time. Browsing opening more than 10 websites (in firefox). All of a sudden electricity goes! I wanted to Hibernate the PC keeping as it as. I have some text pending to post in forum, or even I have unsaved document in Word, unsaved graphics works in Photoshop etc. But later, I went out for some reason. Someone in my home open the computer and the computer is restored from the hibernate session. Since my computer is shared, my account is locked with password. The person now opening in front of computer, logins to his account using his own username & password. After completing his/her tasks, he/she now shut downs the computer. Windows will just give an alert that some other people is logged in to the computer. But its about 90% sure that the person will proceed to shutdown ignoring the message and I LOST EVERYTHING. I was searching for a simple Javascript code snippet to live resize text area. After searching a lot, today I have found one simply cool.

The Da Vinci Code

Holding a lot of patience, finally I have completed the reading of the great book The Da Vinci Code. Its an amazing book. Before completion, I was thinking about the logics, papers and histories are correct or the writer has written from his world of imagination! Later I saw the ‘Fact’ that All descriptions of artwork, architecture, documents, and secrets rituals in this novel are accurate. Actually Dan Brown portrayed everything so nicely that it must spellbind any reader.

I did not read the main book, rather I have read the Bangla (Bengali) translation which is transalted by Mohd. Nazim Uddin. My heart most gratitude to Mr. Nazim for wonderful translation of the book. After Continue reading →

On april 10, 2008 I have participated in a debate workshop titled ‘Workshop on Debate and Presentation”. The workshop was organized by Business Studies Faculty Debating Forum (BFDF) in association with Bangladesh Debate Federation (BDF). The two days workshop was held in the Dean Complex Auditorium of Rajshahi University.

Some legend person of debate in Bangladesh, has presented theory, principles and practices of debate. Speak your own language

Today is the age of Open Source. There is a win win situation everywhere for open source. Search the web, you will get a thousands of benefits about open source. But what you may not get is:

I strongly believe “Open source increases the passion to mother language”. How?

I never thought or never dreamt of developing a Bangla/Bengali (my mother language) forum engine. But when I got familiarity with open source, once I thought, why not I translate a forum engine to my own language? I love my mother language, so doing such will surely be real pleasure. Then I started translating punBB engine which is hosted in http://forum.projanmo.com. Its world’s first Unicode complaint fully Bangla Forum. I was also inspired to choose punBB from www.somewhereinforum.net. It is truly world’s first bangla forum but translated in ASCII. Now day night I work for Projanmo Forum which is ultimately work for my mother language, I think at leat .
